Ayurvedic massages
abhyanga
It is a traditional type of Ayurvedic full body massage with selected medicinal oils. It is performed on the whole body, head, feet and palms. Warm oil is used to massage marma points, nodal points or places of energy flow in the body. The massage is characterized by a specific sequence of strokes including long, vigorous movements using a large amount of warm herbal oils. It is a gentle and soothing massage. It has been used for thousands of years to maintain good health, improve sleep and promote longevity.
Shiro Abhyanga
This Sanskrit term translates to "head massage". Includes a full head massage with traditional Ayurvedic oils to reduce stress. It is a combination of two Ayurvedic procedures, Shirodhara and Abhyanga. Shirodhara is performed by pouring herbal oil on the scalp, forehead and face. Abhyanga is a gentle massage that helps parts of the body benefit from the beneficial effects of healing oils.
Mukha Abhyanga
This is one of the most popular methods of relaxation, massage and facial muscle toning. This therapeutic massage is performed using herbal healing oils according to specialized techniques. It acts on the marma points (energy centers) of the face, bringing balance to the mind and inducing peace and relaxation. It soothes and nourishes, brightens and refreshes the skin.
The name comes from two Sanskrit words "shiro" (head) and "dhara" (flow). It is an unusually effective relaxation technique, in which the nervous system is deeply relaxed by applying warm medicinal oil to the head area, the so-called the third eye.
Pada Abhyanga
Herbal foot and leg massage covers the area from the feet to the knees. The feet, legs and knees are massaged using special Ayurvedic oils selected by the therapist based on your typology. This is an extraordinary relaxation procedure, especially suitable for clients who do not have time for a full body massage. Massage relieves acute pain, improves posture and general health of the organs. It helps with dryness, numbness and tiredness of the legs and cracked heels.
Udwarthana
It is a unique therapy in which dry herbal powders are massaged into the skin in an upward motion. Massage helps to remove body fat and improves lymph drainage. It has a mild abrasive effect, so it is ideal for removing rashes and dirt from the skin.
Choorna Pinda Sveda
In this compress treatment designed to rejuvenate and revitalize the whole body, medicinal herbal powder is tied into a wrap and immersed in warm medicinal oil for the therapist to massage into the body.
It is performed by gentle stimulation of marma points with fingers and palms. Stimulation facilitates and tones energy pathways in the body, improves blood circulation and physical regeneration. Aromatic herbal oils increase the effect of the massage.
